Energy audit is top down initiative its results are dependent on the resources being allocated by the top management. In many ways energy auditing is similar to financial accounting and auditing.
2) Solar Project Development :-A solar system converts sunlight into an electric current which is used to provide electricity for home or building.
Rooftop solar systems are becoming a popular source of electric power because it is a renewable energy source and it is abundantly available during the day.
In urban and rural India, millions of homes and commercial buildings have rooftops that receive ample sunlight during the day.
3) Rain Water Harvesting :- Rain water harvesting is a technique of collection and storage of rainwater into natural reservoirs or tanks, or the infiltration of surface water into subsurface aquifers (before it is lost as surface runoff). One method of rainwater harvesting is rooftop harvesting. With rooftop harvesting, most any surface — tiles, metal sheets, plastics, but not grass or palm leaf — can be used to intercept the flow of rainwater and provide a household with high-quality drinking water and year-round storage. Other uses include water for gardens, livestock, and irrigation, etc.
4) Bio-Gas Plant Development :- A biogas plant is where biogas is produced.A standard type of biogas plant used to collect biological gas has five main components: the inlet, the fermentation chamber, the gas storage bag or tank, and the outlet and the exit pipe through which the gas is removed. These plants can be fed with energy crops such as maize silage or biodegradable wastes including sewage sludge and food waste. During the process, the micro-organisms transform biomass waste into biogas (mainly methane and carbon dioxide) and digestate. Higher quantity of biogas could be produced when the wastewater is co-fermented with other residual from dairy industry, sugar industry, brewery industry.
5) Cool Roof / Roof Insulation :- A cool roof is a roofing system that delivers higher solar reflectance (the ability to reflect the visible, infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths of the sun, reducing heat transfer to the building) and higher thermal emittance (the ability to radiate absorbed, or non-reflected solar energy) than standard designed.
6) Green Roof / Terrace Garden :- A terrace garden is a garden which is established on a terrace, roof, or patio, usually in a house where there is limited gardening space. These types of gardens are especially popular in urban areas, and they are sometimes used in restaurants and other establishments as well.
